Hi Everyone.\u00a0 Just over a month to go before the 2015 Black Hills Triathlon and Splash and Dash.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We have open our Volunteer registration page, so if you would like to participate in the event as a volunteer (a great way to get some really nice gear!) then hurry and sign up today.<\/p>\n

Triple Threat Series 2015<\/h2>\n

The Triple Threat Series is back!<\/h2>\n

Join Black Hills Triathlon, Lakewood SummerFEST Triathlon, and the JBLM Triathlon for a summer of races! This Triple Threat Series consists of three Triathlons beginning on Sunday, June 28 with the Black Hills Triathlon in Lacey. The Second race of the series is in Lakewood, at the Fourth Annual SummerFEST Triathlon on Saturday, July 11. The series wraps up on Saturday, August 29 with a Sprint or Olympic Triathlon on JBLM. Triple Threat Participants will receive a Triple Threat Series t-shirt and medal in addition to the Race T’s and Medals of each individual Triathlon upon completetion of the series. Splash & Dash 2015<\/h2>\n

The Black Hills Triathlon team is proud announce the inclusion of the Splash and Dash Youth Aquathlon Series at this years event.<\/p>\n

A Splash and Dash is a fun and fast-growing sport that combines running and swimming. The run will take place on the Long Lake Park trail and the swim will take place in Long Lake on a modified shallow water course. The focus is on PARTICIPATION rather than competition. The series will expose youth participants to tUSA Triathlon and the exciting world of multisport! Timing will not be required at each event, although it is acceptable. All events within the series will be USA Triathlon sanctioned.<\/p>\n

ARE YOU READY FOR 2015?<\/h2>\n

It’s hard to believe but we are already registering people for our 2015 race! We had a memorable race this year and were very pleased with our new venue for the finish line, and post-race festivities. We anticipate the 2015 Black Hills Triathlon to be even better! Each year we learn a little more as a team, and get better at streamlining the process. We appreciate the number of comments we’ve received from many of you giving us helpful critiques, and supportive encouragement.<\/p>\n

As most of you know, this year’s race sold out the week of the race and I spoke to several people who were disappointed to not be able to participate. We are encouraging everyone to sign up early as we expect to sell out the race even earlier this year. We are also in discussion with two other triathlons in the Tacoma area (one in July and one in August) about doing a “triple threat” series with them. More on that as things develop.<\/p>\n
